The heat of the cryptocurrency market has soared up and investors are enjoying high return from the premium cryptocurrencies. That leads people to put money into cryptocurrency as a new global investment method. As market develops and attention has been put on the cryptocurrency, people are coming with new ideas and ways of improving existing systems. Some create their own cryptocurrency to fuel the new eco system, and some have ideas how to improve existing ones. With the invention of Bitcoin back in late 2008. many things has changed. Blockchain technology offered wonderful new features, such as decentralised and transparent system. Sending money around the globe without a third party, such as banks, with significantly lower fees was almost unimaginable. Even though Bitcoin did a great job already, there is still a lot of space to improve.
Bitcoin Atom is a SegWit enabled Bitcoin fork that brings first truly decentralised way of exchange. Most of the exchange markets are centralised which doesn’t make sense, so this is a huge step forward to the highly desired centralised system. Compared to BTC, Bitcoin Atom is bringing faster transactions by using atomic swaps, that are currently implemented through the on chain HTLCs, with a possibility of switching off chain through the Lightning network. Security is also improved, by using hybrid model of both Proof of Work and Proof of Stake. Maximum supply of tokens stays the same – 21 000 000 of BCA tokens. Whoever owns Bitcoin and has the private key is going to be able to claim BCA, with a rate set at 1 BTC equals 1 BCA.
